It is based on radiometric logging, which typically over reads U3O8 ppm - for example, for EXT all radiometric data was corrected (reduced) by approximately 25% for the JORC assessment (see NI 43-101 report for EXT released Feb 09) based upon statistical analysis.
The hole you refer to has only small lengths of high U3O8 counts - a total of 17 m at an average grade of 8878 ppm. Note that this is only radiometric data, so actual assay results will probably reduce this. You asked "how does this compare to EXT" - I shall oblige.
By your comments I assume that the data you referred to is the best hole for FTE, and you stated it was one of 7.
EXT hole RRC181 has a total of 317 m at an average of 702 ppm (released 25 Feb 09). That's based on actual assay results, not radiometric data. So this one hole has about 1/10 th the grade of FTE's best hole, but over about 20 times the distance - for a net result of twice as much U3O8. For that one hole.
That is one of over 300 holes drilled, over deeper depths and a greater area.

You will find drill assay results published monthly, usually 20-50 holes at a time.
In comparison, I checked the FTE website but found no assay result data, despite the media release from a year ago promising such results "shortly". I didn't look too hard, admittedly, but since you yourself did not refer to any data more recent than about a year ago, and I assume you are knowledgeable about FTE to post such an item, that there isn't much to talk about.
No doubt there may be more to the FTE story. I'm sure those interested will go to the FTE thread and seek more information there. In the meantime if you wish to ask any further questions about EXT I shall try to answer them, but the drill results are readily available on the EXT website.
