Unfortunately Milne does not have the attraction of Bob Brown so I suspect the Green vote will drop. Personalities do count at election time - neutral for Gillard, but negative for Abbott I believe.
And yes a close election is good for the Greens, but would an Abbott government work with the Greens? No way would the Greens abandon the carbon tax without an equally effective replacement.
