Actually, that's not quite true. Time on it's own will not determine the success of this company. If the drugs are good but the management incompetent (which they would have to be to have blown this much $$$$ and time if the drugs actually do work), then all the time in the world won't be able to get these potentially wonderful drugs to the patients who need them.

If this "idle gossip and meaningless posturing" leads to shareholders voting out the incompetent management which then sees the company finally make some progress, then that is hardly idle or meaningless.

The shareholders on these forums should have a voice, and the fact that management shows no interest in doing anything meaningful (even a pay cut of management salary to something remotely sensible would show investors that management genuinely cared) tells me to stay the hell away from this company until such time as management is replaced.
