Looked at the recycled Nissan batteries. Cant see much here really. Home storage is likely to be even more exponential than EV or at least they would be similar. So waiting years to get any decent supply would not be feasible. Given new technology tested that shows over 100,000 cycles with no loss of performance, this meaning the batteries may well last our lifetimes although I wont be banking on that outcome.
Tesla home storage doesn't tick my boxes and there are more efficient ones out on the market. tesla's new warrantee may well illustrate how little confidence they have in their product. Suffice to say, I cant see at current prices that they are a real option that saves money.
