My question to the guy at halifax was quite specific " are u an approved sfe broker "

He replied yes when they aren't so he lied .

Yes I realize there are introducing brokers and when u open an acct with Halifax I guess u infact open the acct with IB or whoever and they [halifax]then have the right to assist with opening and closing trades etc .

There was some issues when sonray fell over as they were also an introducing broker to IB and others but I don't remember the outcome of that . Many traders argued that they were with IB and not sonray so should be treated different with reguards segregated acct etc .

My point is and something I always do is try and determine if the company I intend to trade through is honest . He wasn't but that doesn't mean the company is bad and maybe I got one ignorant or miss informed salesman .
