Having seen the pump and dump in this stock a number of times I don't believe it is the case this time.

Based on the significant increase in volume over the past month (multiple 10m plus days), I think it is concentrated buying from an institution or investment group, which has then been picked up and supported by traders. Previous pump and dumps have happened over hours or days, this appears to be a concerted buying effort over weeks.

I'll hazard a guess that the initial runs were position taking, linked to the $1m capital raising, before the traders took-over. Whilst the capital raising was small, whoever was part of it would quickly tell friends about the opportunity, who would then buy on market. Breaking it down, 1m shares were only worth $30k in December, not a huge sum of money for some.

Once the initial run was set and the volume / price increase hit the trader alerts the run became a frenzy, seen on Monday and Tuesday. The subsequent, post frenzy drawback is expected as the traders unwind there positions (daily or +3), their profit or loss dependent on when they got in before the music stopped. Once it is does stop however the opposite occurs, every trader wants out, and quickly, of a company they don't know or understand.

That hopefully leaves a share price greater than when it first began (let's say 3 cents in Dec), an improved register following the institution / investment group buying, and more people informed about Cougar's UCG story.

Many other plausible explanations but I'll stick with the above as mine. Important to note I did not back my own judgement and sell high fives to buy back in, firstly I could be wrong and secondly even if I was right you never know when the music will stop!
