AFPHA, a "sythetic CDO", it matures in March 2012. Face value is $100. They only have a small "buffer" and six or more "credit events" prior to maturity will see punters blow their dough.
They were trading for less than $10 six months ago but there's been a lot of buying interest in the last few weeks. Last sale was for over $30.
I picked up a few a couple of weeks ago for $24. Just wondering if any one else thinks the rewards for buying AFPHA at these levels outweigh the risks?
