Well we can only use external information for both companies to gauge things as we (well I anyway) am not privy to internal information from either company. Hence why social likes is a gague because if 10% of people will like something on social then it works out to be a good gague.
We could also use Alexa if you like which tracks web rankings, being 1.3M (Meta) to 229k (Mogul).
