@zac2500 You’re right. It’s a straight up conversation about what we know so far about the drug, what we expect to happen, and possible side effects. The problem is with an acute stroke, everything is happening so quickly so sometimes there isn’t time to do this, or sometimes family members can’t be contacted in time to provide consent. There are also lots of exclusion/inclusion criteria that rule people in or out.
