I hold shares in CuDeco [ CDU ] but not in QMN. At one point CDU and its Chairman held large holdings in QMN, CDU being the largest shareholder.
My interest was in QMN'S Morris Creek block abutting and south of CDU'S Rocklands South find.
When both CDU and its Chairman exited QMN , I gave away the thought of investing in QMN.
In light of the success of CDU with its Rocklands South find, I expected a concerted drilling campaign by QMN on the Morris Creek block but, as far as I know, only a few holes were drilled and they hit water. No further drilling seems to have been done.
In view of what has occured with CDU when they put down dewatering bore holes for Rocklands South open cut and found significant copper below the water table, there is the possibility that QMN may have needed to go deeper with its drilling or maybe they drilled in the wrong place or noe enough.
CDU has a new lease block abutting the Western boundary of QMN'S Morris Creek block and the focus of exploration activity has switched to it as a priority target as there are similarities between it and CDU'S flagship Las Minerale discovery.
CDU has been highly successful in making a number of significant discoveries apart from Las Minerale and Rocklands South and its technical expertise and knowledge of the mineralogy of the area would be of benefit to QMN.
If there is a change in the QMN Board ,you may find there is again cooperation between the Boards of CDU and QMN and, as neighbours, that is the way it should be.
A successful QMN would have a flow on effect to CDU as it could use CDU'S multi purpose, multi user Cloncurry rail facility and export through its Townsville Port facility.
You will need to be patient with your shareholding for it will take time for the new Board to assess the situation and implement a strategy to get QMN going again.
It will not be an easy task but, with the right people and given the right advice ,it can be done.
I hope everything turns out well for you.
