Expanding financial investment to Asian countries is not a bad idea, if not, is a good long term investment.
Do you know what is the real interest when the local people in those countries paying to their local lender?
It is not 10 or 12 % per year! The interest is calculated on a monthly basic with a rediculous upfront fees.
In addition, the local do not have much faith in their native bankers when chosing where to park their money!
Foreign banks are viewed as a safe and relatively cheaper place to park and borrow money. Financial statements issued from foreign banks are viewed as certified documents and legally accepted for credit acceptibility and judgement. In term of credit cards, those from native/local banks are not widely and internationally accepted, and even some local retail industries are not welcoming them!
