It's only a risk to the banks IF the value of the capital city properties decline significantly AND in unison.
Several hundred loans like this are irrelevant in the bigger scheme of things UNLESS it is viewed as the tip of something bigger .... such as a significant fall in Chinese demand for Australian residential investments.
