Michealo, I am a long term shareholder but honestly can rarely be bothered wading through all the Opes stuff on the ANZ thread.
However, I was pleased to see the recent announcement by ANZ in terms of receiving a license for incorporation in Vietnam - cant really understand why it wasnt price sensative however. This is one of the first confirmation that Smithy is staying true to his Asian expansion in what others on the ANZ would like to inflict as 'worrying times'. ANZ sees Vietnam as one of the biggest opportunities for growth and has an agressive expansion plan in place.
I will also be interested to see what plays out with Suncorp. Looks like Rudd may have saved them from ANZs grasp or they might have to pay a touch more for them now.
