An interesting insight into how banks work

Essentially they were duped by a fraudster into handing over money to someone against properties they didn't own. The real owner of the properties then had to drag them through court to restore ownership. Wouldn't you think once the fraud was pointed out, and more importantly the banks lax procedures which allowed it to happen,
that the bank would have to hand back the properties without having to drag them through court?
The bank makes a mistake and allows the con, but then expects an innocent victim to foot the bill.
Does this sound familiar Opes Prime victims?
