Yep, I did a bit of spleen venting by email when the phone wasn't answered. I did get some replies - sincere apologies, apologies for any inconvenience, etc, but nothing useful of course, just weasel waffle words.
I think what happens is that the programmers know it's not ready (this one was put off for a week) but management won't accept what they regard as an embarrassing delay, so off we go with an untested system and - surprise, surprise - it doesn't work. And too bad for the customers. I'm glad I didn't have anything urgent in the market today.
