again as stipulated by ANZ, there will be no cap raising for the medium term (or at least till they deliver their results at the end of April),as their Tier 1 capital ratio is at 8.4%, well above the regulatory minimum of 7.5%.
the cut in dividend, will lead to capital generation of $500 million (an no doubt the other majors will follow suit in due course).
however, as per the trading update (pg 4)re capital initiatives, they may look at hybrid equity issues, similiar to what WBC did recently.
