Will always go down at least dividend amount, on ex date but usually rebounds within a few weeks. I bought earlier in the year collected the divi and franking credi,t sold when it was showing a capital gain, bought back in again for this divi and will sell again when it shows a capital gain. If possible you can use the same capital to buy other dividend yielding shares in between time in the same year so instead of collecting 2 divis for a $X investment you can collect up to 4 divis. with the same $X investment , if you use mini instalment warrants instead of fully paid up shares you get the fully franked dividend, but only pay a fraction of the share price, this way you can get a significant annual return on your investment from 20%-50% depending on your comfort zone for investment risk. What ever your strategy, even just buying for long term capital gain and collecting the FF divis along the way or DRP is not a mugs game
