Imagine if someone set up a class action that roped in all Opes Prime clients, not just those who opted to be part of Slater & Gordon's case. And imagine if ANZ, Merrill Lynch and the administrators did strike a deal for the banks to pay a sum to Opes' unsecured creditors.
Now if that settlement could be put before the court as part of the all-in class action, then perhaps all the legal cases in all states might be tied off with one short, tight ribbon."
Seems to me that ASIC is the ione that can pull this together like they did for the Westpoint case???
