I agree, any talk of class action is ludicrous. Offering shares at a 5% discount is more than reasonable. Many smaller companies offer a much more significant discount. I am also of the understanding that the money cannot be on-invested, and as such earnings per share will be impacted. ANZ did not cause this, APRA has put them in this situation.
More importantly.. did anyone take up their full entitlement of the one below back in 2009 at a some 10% discount ($14.40 purchase)? Refer to the link below for those that have short term memories

Why don't we go for a class action on that.... for ANZ only doubling our money in some 6 years!!!!
Can people start thinker longer term rather than what is going to happen tomorrow, next week or next month?
