I can shed a little light on COGS as well. The GRAS approval says safe up to 1mg per day, so I think it safe to assume that any individual product will contain less than this, perhaps as little as 0.1mg. At this quantity, the unit material cost for AOD9604 should be about one or two cents, and could be considerably less than this once manufacturing is scaled up to meet ultimate demand.

This estimate is based on what I understand about Fmoc manufacturing costs and I believe it to be accurate. The company may want to charge a lot more than this, after all the company must make a profit. I am not in a position to know anything about the company's pricing ideas, but I am very clear that the COGS is low enough that the prospect for AOD9604 to be accepted as a mass marketed food additive is realistic indeed.
