AOK’s Kansas play must be getting hot.

In an earlier life I did a couple of “roadshows” – objective is to whet the appetite money managers, analysts, institutional buyers.

If you’re a tiny company like AOK you want credibility – one way is to play up your association with “big names” in your industry. In the oil and gas industry in the US big names in the area AOK is operating in include Sandridge, Apache, Chesapeake, Devon, Range Resources, etc. – check out # 8 in the Slide Deck.

AOK makes good use of these better known names – Sandridge and Range for their Oklahoma acreage, and Apache for their Kansas acreage.

Note also that slides 19, 20 and 21 are actually Apache slides that AOK borrowed for their roadshow. You can find these same slides on Apache’s website – they were used by Apache to explain their purchase of 580K acres in Kansas – a “step out”.
