The entire market is imploding, but APA faired reasonably well when you look at some of the other ASX leaders. I have invested in APA for protection against market earnings declines, but the stock is not entirely immune to retail investor panick. The institutions are sitting on the sidelines waiting to inject their unallocated funds, which causes a crater in the buying demand across the board. Given that APA is at historical lows and that the country needs gas for many decades to come (plus investing in green energy for the future) I think my capital is well protected. I have 25% of my super in fixed interest, and when this is over (maybe 6-18 months from now) I will do my best to time the bottom ha ha
