Green hydrogen helps APA as it makes existing gas use greener (if 10% hydrogen blended) so maybe extends life of existing gas distribution grid.
It is very difficult to say yet if APA will be a big beneficiary from large scale hydrogen infrastructure. One of the decisions to make is whether to transport green hydrogen over
a) hydrogen transmission pipelines (which should be APA's wheelhouse) or
b) transport the electricity on electricity transmission lines and produce the hydrogen locally where it is needed e.g. beside industrial areas or at hydrogen export terminals instead of transporting hydrogen large distances.
APA is more experienced at the pipeline business and has a lot more competitors in the electricity transmission business.
