APA revnue (and profits), page-2

The following is an extract from AFR:

"We are strong when our customers are strong and when our customers are doing it a bit tougher we are somewhat resilient but not immune," chief executive Rob Wheals told The Australian Financial Review.He pointed to a softening in gas volume demand evident among industrial customers in Victoria in particular, and expectations that when gas retailers recontract for pipeline capacity they will reduce volumes.

I suspect the revenue formulas would be slightly more complex than I can glean from the above but it would appear, for the main part, that the revenue comes from the contract and lower throughput, whilst it may not reduce immediate revenue, will lower the future contracted revenue requirements. I confess to not knowing and will now attempt to understand better. I think I've taken this stock for granted for too long.
