It is believed a new gas supply contract has been negotiated that involves Burrup paying significantly higher prices than those agreed with Apache, Tap Oil and Kuwait's Kufpec in 2002.
Sources said Tap and Kufpec would release ANZ, receiver PPB Advisory, corporate advisory firm Flagstaff Partners and law firm Freehills from any breach of the gas supply agreement in relation to allegations that confidential details of the contract were leaked during the sale process.
Looks like resolution to one of the outstanding leagl issues with a good result for TAP of increased gas prices.
