respectfully disagree with you Kincella. I spend a lot of time at Noosa...in fact this last year I was there nearly half the time. I am always out and about and have never seen anything to concern me. My parents live there and so does my sister and her family and I have never heard a murmur of any unpleasant encounters. But there is probably trouble anywhere you go in this world and I guess it may depend on what circles you move in. I am not into pubs and seedy night spots so maybe it is that I live in a different world. Maryborough and Hervey Bay are a long way from Noosa so including them would be like including Brisbane as being part of the Sunny coast.
As for unit prices it depends on where you buy....everyone wants to cash in on the Noosa name so you have Noosa Heads, Noosa Sound, Noosaville, Noosa waters, and Noosa Springs. heads and sound are probably premium holiday spots. Noosaville slightly cheaper but has come into its own with restaurant strip along the Noosa river. Noosa waters has some beautiful canal homes and is slightly removed from the hussle and bussle (behind Noosaville) and Noosa Springs is a bit removed and imho is just cashing in on the Noosa name. Sunshine beach just out of Noosa also worth a look.
Sorry if I seem to be defending Noosa but I would love to move there one day. Dunno if I would buy an investment property there but would live there in a heartbeat.
