My wife was at the hospital recently for a shot and as quite often the nurse will ask if a trainee can do it we said yes but after seeing the trainee in action I said to the senior nurse that as soon as I had a couple of weeks free I will get my qualification as a registered nurse

The senior nurse just shook he head and said that the trainee would be qualified in another week and said they are getting them all the time, qualified nurses whom you would not ask to put a band aid on.

She then went on to explain that apparently there are no plans to rectify the serious problems of
    A/ not enough nurses and
B/ nurses who are not competent to do the job

Then when you look at the number of foriegn students at our teaching centers you can understand why we are not getting enough qualified staff in a whole range of positions

A majority of our universities have about 50% foriegn students
At the moment there is just under one million Chinese students studying in Australia

All educational facilities get government grants to operate, IE taxpayer money, so why are the taxpayers paying to teach foriegn students
