I don't know of any lobby action, it is just that I see a lessening of standards in almost all areas.
Lots more regs and paperwork but lessor standards
UNI trained mechanical engineers. ?? --- As to theory based academics they are part of the problem, and should "advise" but never direct work
On yesterdays news the Vic government said they would lower women's physical standards in the police force so that more would be eligible to join, we already have overweight and skinny female police working, so how low can the standards be ?
In one way I feel sorry for politicians as they have to get through a mountain of work and it is all directed at them by the bureaucrats, and I dare say they actually don't know much of what is going on --RE "Yes Minister"
If you are in any industry in a practical manner you will have seen the lowering of standards in everything and the push comes from business so as to make things quicker to produce, and to make more money
