EA sucks. Every successful game out of that mob is still 'below expectations', because when they make a bunch of money they are mad that they didn't make all the money. And they have exclusive rights for Star Wars games in the height of Star Wars mania and have put out a couple of basic shooters and cancelled everything else. I'd hate to be a holder of theirs. 

That said, I can't get behind internet mobs being mad that a games like Apex or Metro are exclusive to a company's launcher, when Steam also need to be pulled up on their bad business practices of taking 30% cut while doing minimal to their platform as far as curating and happily hosting scams and shovelware. Monopolies are always bad no matter the industry and its good that companies are taking their market share, eventually they'll have make user and developer positive changes.
