    I take my hat off to those brave pioneers that spend all that time in the ISS. Imagine living in the thermosphere with the daily fear that you might just burst into flames today or get skewered by a meteor or a bit of space junk.
    According to the site below, it can get up to 500 degrees Celsius even in the lower reaches when the sun is very active.
    Golly, if I was an astronaut, I'd be worried about those rubber O rings on the Cupola catching fire and blowing the seal - but hey, if you can land on the moon in 1969, you can do anything when your an astronaut.
