Apollo Motorhomes is understood to be one of the next companies set to hit the boards of the Australian Securities Exchange and broker Morgans is believed to be mandated for the initial public offering prospect.
Already, the business has been given the backing by institutional fund managers, who describe Apollo as a quality offering, despite being small.
Apollo is one of the world’s largest privately-owned leisure vehicle operators. It has more than 300 staff overseeing its fleet of campervans, motorhomes and four-wheel-drives and cars.
It has operations in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada and its bases are close to airports.
Founded by Gus and Carolyn Trouchet in 1985, it is now owned by sons Luke Trouchet, who is the chief executive, and Karl Trouchet, the chief financial officer.
Within Apollo’s portfolio are a number of brands, including the premium Star RV, Cheapa Campa at the more affordable end, youth brand Hippie Camper and vehicle manufacturing and sales brand TALVOR.
The float of Apollo comes as Morgans also remains busy at work on the upcoming IPO of Noja Power.
Morgans is understood to be working on the IPO of the Queensland-based energy company with Macquarie Capital and it is expected to list with a market value as high as $400m.
While fund managers have so far heard only a little of late about the business, which sells medium-voltage outdoor switchgear, it is expected more details will be provided at Morgans’ Brisbane-based institutional investor conference next month.
However, fund managers are already throwing their support behind Noja, which sells products in more than 84 countries and could list before Christmas.
