    Thats the whole problem with this debate. My grand mothers great grand father was a love child to a aboriginal house maid on a farm in the Port Maquarie region in the 1840's. rejected from the tribe and stayed on the farm till the age of 13 in then moved to Redfern and worked on the railways.
    Can I call myself aboriginal?
    Do I apologise to myself?
    Who exactly are we apologising to?
    Who are the perpetrators and who are the victims?
    Australia had a population of 4.5 million at the outbreak of WW1 and took alot of immigration since then which settled in urban areas totally ignorant of the settlement which would be required in further generations.
