Agree with all the improvement suggestions. Couple of comments I would make though is that -

1. I actually don't think the current version of the app is what they have. Some of these above mentioned things are so common it makes no sense to not have them in this day and age.

2. So with comment 1 in mind, I think what is happening here is that the MVP (minimum viable product) has been launched with the features without which you simply couldn't' run the competition. This to me makes sense as based on all marketing so far, the intent is to really capture the performers volume and by making the app as simple as it can like a "dummy prototype" they can really get as much performers as they can - some of which might not be very tech savvy (reducing the barrier to entry for this competition vs other traditional competition like American Idol where you just show up)

So, based on this, I think the “next” update of the app should really have many of the features that you mentioned above already – because guess what they were all in on the “beta” app. Did you notice that most of your feedbacks (if not all) are targeted to the “consumer” of the app i.e. the fans. I totally expect them to include all those features back into the app when the “fans” marketing takes place.
