'only recharging phone credits currently' - is a very clever starting point. DCC and Telefonica are creating a much needed service that the banks, and to a lesser extent money transfer houses, have failed / refused to provide.

The transfer lands in a phone account yes, but the phone account can then go straight into a bank acc. But the room for growth for Telefonica & DCC will come from e-wallets and allowing direct payment from a smart phone / app.

IMO the research report(s) has missed this and focussed on DCC relating to UBER. It will be disruptive yes, but it will also form part of a mainstream system.
