Who tossed the dead fish in the room?
Not meaning to be flippant...this is a very serious question...
Did the fingerlings die suddenly...or was it a gradual decline, with the poor remaining creatures giving up at day 38?
This is a critical element not covered in today's announcement...and one that may or may not have impacted the trader psychology here?
A slow decline and gradual mortality is bad...sudden death, whilst still a poor outcome and apparently bad, may well relate to all manner of issues, some not directly related to the process...os in other words, a sudden death event leaves the door open for hope of a quick fix.
How about sabotage - is the company in any potential deals where such an outcome would be beneficial to a predator? If so, what securuty measures are in place to ensure the Company's biggest single asset is well protected from criminal activity?
Regardless of the above, it seems a very poorly formed communication today...lacking in market comprehension...and one that left more questions than answers.
I was going to buy in late in the day...but being a Friday (many will only find out tonight/over the weekend, that their investments have collapsed), and given the severity of the late afternoon exodus, I felt it prudent to wait till Monday...or Tuesday...to see if a line in the sand has been drawn yet.
It will however be just a trade for me, based on the view such sell-offs are typically over-done...and a bounce usually follows at some point.
The question however remains...have they hit the bottom yet, or will more selling after the weekend push it lower?
The market will be jumpy no matter what transpires, basically leaving it vulnerable to manipulation...so wath for games pushing it both ways.
Cheers!
