That was weird. i was able to read Penny's article in full, but now it's behind a paywall. Thank you for reporting for everyone!

Something is very, very odd. Lynas and it legal counsel MUST have known through this entire appeals process about the political leanings of the Minister in charge of making the decision about the future of our LAMP. So why ask for him to recuse himself just 24 hours prior to the hearing? Almost as though they were purposefully pointing the spotlight on him to ensure a fair(er) hearing and conclusion.

I could be dead wrong. I've been so before. But isn't this news cleansing to the process? Doesn't the transparency of the issue now pegged to the front page of the media help to ensure an outcome more fair and balanced towards Lynas than just 24 hours ago? I think it could be a strategically brilliant move, forcing the Minister to give Lynas a bridge to exit under it own terms and allow ample time for it to carry out its business responsibly. To decide anything less would not invite scrutiny, lawsuits, and international disgust from Japan, Australia, and the West but foster a very negative view of the FAUX unity government. I can not see this political crime being allowed, with so many vested eyes on the matter.

One thing is for certain, and I have said it for years. PM Ibrahim is a true bugger and does not care who or what he screws. In this case, our company and our hundreds of talented, loyal employees.

I maintain that we are in less danger now going into this hearing than we were prior.

I will wait for the results of the hearing.
