one of the examples would be to enable more functionality with your iphone, iPod etc... to many more appliances rather than just bluetooth for sound and perhaps some gadgets that require different apps currently

It should replace all remote controlls around the house for all current things and future electronics as well, but without the current limitations of those universal remote replacements which don't do much..all from your phone

Currently using IOT over my iphone to control home security is a pain at setup stage.. ie hours.. so I'm looking forward to the day Xped making it easy.

I should also be able to time the dishwasher , drier, etc.. so to take advantage of offpeak electricity..and maybe give me a visual into my pantry and fridge to look for stuff whilst at the supermarkets..
