Why would CWE be interested in this?

    1. Apple have stated they want the centre powered 100% by renewable energy.

    2. "It is understood that the data centre, which will come online in 2017, will have a 6MW requirement and this will grow to 30MW when it is fully operational. This could grow to 240MW in 10 to 15 years’ time."

    3. Apple have shown interest in wave energy by funding testing of wave energy devices in Galway Harbour.

    4. Ireland has limited options for renewable energy other than hydro, wind and marine energy.

    5. Ceto Wave Energy Ireland has a foreshore licence at Spanish Point which is about 80 kilometres from where the centre will be at Derrydonnell.
