So the new 'Home' App from Apple has been built into their just-released IOS v10 update.
In case you haven't seen it already here's some information from Apple's website on the connection and control of devices
here and a general overview of 'Home'

So instead of DeBs/XPEDs simple 'tap to connect', this uses a scan function from the camera directed onto an 8 digit 'home code' on the accessory documentation or the accessory itself as below:

To add an accessory to your home:
- Open Home and tap Add Accessory or tap +.
- Wait for your accessory to appear, then tap it. If asked to Add Accessory to Network, tap Allow.
- With the camera on your iOS device, scan the eight-digit HomeKit code on the accessory or accessory documentation. Or enter the code manually.
- Add information about your accessory, like its name or the room it's located in. Siri will identify your accessory by the name you give it and the location it's in.
- To finish, tap Next, then tap Done.
Some accessories, like Phillips Hue lighting and Honeywell thermostats, require additional setup with the manufacturer's app.

The highlighted sentence above is worth highlighting as I think this is the underlying technological advantage XPED have been striving for to avoid - the all-in-one app to remove the need for multiple apps, one for each manufacturer. But this means DeB would have to compete with an app that's there already on all iPhones by default, so would need to be a cut above for people to add onto their phone and use as an alternative.
If Telink are now an Apple HomeKit partner and therefore ADRC/Telink chips will be hopefully be installed into many, many HomeKit partner's accessories eventually, I'd hope DeB/ADRC code would one day also be either incorporated into Home to make use of the simplicity of 'tap and connect' & potentially superior control & functionality.
Could there be some way that a future release of Home can allow ADRC-friendly devices to be 'tapped' into as well and therefore controlled by Siri (which is something DeB itself will obviously lack - which will be a negative for Apple users).
Not sure how plausible this would be though unless there was a massive agreement between the two companies.
Or will DeB mainly be taken up by Android users as the 'Home' equivalent?
Just thinking out aloud. I'm interested in other's opinion's and their thoughts with Apple's new release - being so close to the impending release of DeB (within the next week).
