The OS plays absolutely no part in the XPED system, it is merely something which drives a mobile device, and allows that device to run apps.

ADRC is completely independent of vendor requirements - the only thing that any operating equipment (be it a PC or a mobile device) needs to be able to do is run the app. ADRC does not even require a mobile device to operate, it can be activated via a wand and run from a PC.

This is where Apple has an issue - they want to run the world with their exclusive systems - and the world will not work that way - thus Android exists, and runs on far more devices the Apple IOS.

Hence, Apple and Android will have little to do with the IoT, apart from facilitating it with their OS to run an app. That is as far as their role will ever extend. And apple cannot prevent the DeB app from running on the phones, so you will be able to use apple OR android phones to run operate ADRC devices.
