Well, I bght a Sony Vaio, long time ago now. The backlight in the screen went after 2.4 years or so and they wanted 1300 to fix it all....replace screen was the prefered method i think....
As for your Ipad, insurance covers those sorts of things? But who flys with insurance..thesedays.
