Sounds like Apple are about to make the same mistake as Affirm and Paypal and others mix up interest free and interest bearing instalments and get cast in the same light as nasty old banking trying to pull a sneaky one. Good then this will leave Afterpay as the true interest free solution.
This is all tied to driving Apple Pay which so far has been a flop - not sure this is going to help but it's not like it's the dominant market leader.
