Interesting moves as Apple seems to be moving more and more into the med-tech field through it's Apple Watch & now AirPod with the addition of a sleep apnea detection function. This is another example of innovations in other areas further adding awareness to the sleep apnea disorder which creates organic growth opportunities for ResMed and other sleep apnea device manufacturers - while not everyone who owns an apple device has an apple watch it is an interesting move and addition, and may prompt competitors such as Garmin, Fitbit, Samsung etc. to also add the functionality creating a wider market. It was only a matter of time before smart watches started to gain more in depth health monitoring features, an area which has felt slow moving and stale as of recent, and I think we are only just scratching the surface with updates like this.
