re: settlement confirmation FWIW (not a lot), I concur with the opinion that the size of the settlement is less important than the knowledge that one of the fiercest adversaries imaginable (i.e. APplera) are capitulating. With them "taken car of", GTG will hopefully at least gain sufficient income to make sure each and every other company pays full fare for the use of the GTG patent.
While Applera could have dragged it out for years, the risk they face is that GTG finds enuff $$$ for the legal battle. The outcome in a court scenario is (or *appears* to be) a no-brainer for Applera. So let's settle.
Regardless of the settlement details, I'll be holding for another 12 months at least (and buying more if the price drops on the news). The ramifications should be huge.
The above assumes a settlement eventuates, of course.
