Kleos Space S.A. a space-powered defence & intelligence technology company, confirms the appointment of Sara Fanous in the role of VP Finance and acting CFO, effective 1 January 2023.
Mrs Fanous is a U.S. citizen who has worked more than 17 years in the auditing, Data-as-a-Service, aerospace, satellite, wireless voice, and Internet of Things (IoT) industries. She gained experience in public accounting (KPMG and Ernst & Young), Technical Accounting and SEC reporting (Iridium Communications), and building accounting/finance departments in early-stage space-based data and communication companies (Aireon and SpaceLink).
Commenting on the appointment, Kleos’ CEO, Alan Khalili said, “I am delighted to welcome Sara to this new role. We are fortunate to be able to attract and work with such a talent. Sara will bring her strong technical accounting and SEC reporting background to Kleos as the company enters the next chapter of its growth”.
Kleos intelligence products provide a valuable intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capability to governments and commercial entities to help the detection of illegal and/or hidden activities creating societal, economic, and environmental challenges.
Kleos recently achieved two-way communication with all four Observer Mission (KSF3) satellites that launched successfully on 3rd January aboard the Transporter-6 SpaceX mission.
