A recent potash presentation by BHP is worth a read. They have spent USD4.5 bil on their Jensen project todate, sinking two 1000mtr shafts. Proposed development will be another 5.7Billion .
The last comparison I read showed that our project has superior fundamentals to Jensen. Especially in servicing the large Brazilian market. With our high grade, relatively shallow deposit that is close to the coast and utilising renewable energy in processing we could be looked upon as a producer of "Green Potash" when compared to other MOP suppliers. This could give us a big advantage in Financing/Marketing in a carbon conscious world !!
