Hi Elphamale, I have suffered the occasional brainstorm so my opinion could be a tad suss! I am not doubting the sincerity of IDC's consultants ,I'm sure that they reasonably believe, from their extensive geological knowledge of the area, that they see so many similarities to Porgera Mk1 that they consider it likely that a Porgera Mk2 lurks at depth. They may prove to be correct eventually but the fact that some of the geological structures and rock types at Mt, Kare resemble so closely those of the neighbouring Mt. Porgera, doesn't guarantee that the structure is equally blessed. Mt Porgera Mk2 could , in fact, prove to be a fizzler. If so nobody would be to blame ,that's exploration ,you win some and lose some! (Usually, in this business, you lose more than you win!) I suspect that the gold previously won from Mt Kare wouldn't have been as much as claimed but the source has probably long gone. I suppose there is natural tendency to assume that the stuff in the mountain will provide a similar gold bonanza. maybe it will. On current data IDC has a rich ,but relatively small gold resource. It's no Porgera Mk2 but, hopefully ,additional drilling will upgrade it. IMO the gold price is unlikely to favour the junior goldies either. These are tough times and may get tougher. GLTA!
