Between 3 October and 6 November 2022, 118 reported sailings will be cancelled across major shipping lanes.This represents a 16% cancellation rate during the period and an additional 21 or a 3% increase in cancelled sailings compared to the last reported period (5 September to 2 October 2022).Reports suggest the increase in cancellations is due to weakening demand causing carriers to ‘realign’ capacity requirements on certain routes.

FBX rates on 1st January 2021 at $3,452 and as of Friday 14th October 2022 was $3,540

It would seem sea freight rates are currently below 11th March 2021 CYM Restart Study rates.
