I've done a little deep diving into Copper Mountains Eva project. Have some interesting findings to compare with CYM
Obviously, these back of the napkin numbers would need refining for accounting purposes but you get the drift.
Using today's prices of Cu = US$3.4075, Au = US$1,650.81
So quoting the C1 cash costs which include the byproduct metals of gold adds up to be a fair bit when you consider they are expecting to operate at 163,000 dmt/pa with 2.61g/dmt Au. Using this figure brings the gold produced to around 15,000 oz Au per annum or US$24.7m on today's market price.
163,000*28% = 45,640 dmt/a Cu = US$342.858m
Add that $24.7m back into the C1 you get approx 7.225% increase or 11c bringing their C1 cost up to US$1.64 and that is before you add inflation into these numbers. EVA FS update 13th December 2021 to today. I think you could safely say their C1 cost would be closer to US$1.70 now which is not that far behind CYM C1 costs of $1.91
