So, we want China to buy our gold so we become rich, but we don't want them having a say in any aspect of it. Is that right? Without them buying gold, we are probably stuffed with FML anyway mate.

Of the $16B invested by China in Australian mining companies over the past 5 years, this current investment represents just 1.38%. $16B in a lot of moolah. We are not a massive country, we need to encourage investment like this. Perhaps we should wonder exactly where the commodities sector may be without the $16B they have kicked in.

The same Chinese people buy more than 26% of all Australian exports and this does not just include commodities.

I understand that we have vastly contrary opinions on this matter, but I don't know if we can have our cake and eat it too..
